PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR PETS ON CRAIGSLIST
If you have ever wonder why your listing on Craigslist is getting flagged it is because animal welfare people are trying to protect your pet from being snake food or bait animals. Please take heed and do not rehome your pet via Craigslist unless you are screening, doing home visits, checking with veterinarians, and charging an adoption fee. Even $20 for a kitten sometimes does not deter a snake owner looking for a good cheap meal for their snake. I love my cats and would never want them to be subjected to being snake food.
The cat above is my cat, Raven, I found her on Craigslist, she was 6 weeks old. I have had her almost a year and could not imagine someone abusing or killing her.
Below are stories from other animal welfare advocates that have been given information about Craigslist. Some have been verified.
To rehome your pet, please contact a no kill rescue to help you. Many times if you can house your pet, rescues will network your pet and do all the screening and adoption for you to assure that your pet goes to a safe home. You can also list your pet on my Facebook rehome page or contact me and we can set something up for me to network your cat and get him/her adopted.
