This is Gizmo, above and below. Please notice, in 2 different photos, taken at 2 different time in Gizmos life he is healthy, beautiful and in a clean house.
However, below you can compare the photo of Gizmo in the Lee's home (5 months before the raid) and animal controls care (16 months after the raid), tell me, do you really think Gizmo was neglected in the Lee's care? Gizmo WAS neglected in animal controls care.
The evidence used against Samantha and Randell Lee.
1) First off you need to know, Bruce LaHue, the ACO called in an exigent warrant based on claiming their Black Labrador, Coal was skin and bones. LaHue's exact words "I could see the spine and ribs from a distance.." He and Ray Saylor state that due to the weather they were concerned that Coal would die overnight if not immediately removed. So look at Coal's photo and look at the weather report. Now keep in mind, NO ONE ask either Samantha or Randell if this was an indoor dog or an outdoor dog. They did notice the Chocolate Labrador DID in fact have a dog house in her kennel, but Coal didn't. Well that is because Coal was indoors and Samantha put him and their Dalmador, Bindie outside so she could clean her house, she was up cleaning the house trying to get it back in order after dealing with a flooded basement.
Oddly enough, Samantha and Randell were NOT charged for Coal being "emaciated" and both the state vet and LaHue testified during the trial that Coal was in fact "OF AVERAGE WEIGHT", so basically we have a matter of theft and deception by Bruce LaHue who won't say that he lied to steal both of the Labrador Retrievers but did say during a visit with the Lee's vet, during the deposition and on the stand that Coal was of average weight. As a matter of fact, Ray Saylor's deposition and witness statement says that Coal was knee deep in mud, as you can see, he wasn't. The mud in this kennel was mostly dry and he was not staying in this kennel it was temporary, he was a new dog to the Lee's and after it rained, he was no longer able to stay in the basement so they had to make other temporary arrangements. He was not tethered, nor put in a crate. So essentially you are damned it you do and damned if you don't.
