Permanency Program
Temporary Housing For Your Feline
Are you moving and can't take your cat with you?
Are you in the military and have to leave home and no one to take care of your cat while you are gone?
Our temporary housing program is just for you. Your cat becomes resident, you only need to pay a monthly fee and we keep your cat until you can take the feline home with you.
The fee is $30 a month plus the cost of food and litter. You can bring the items to the shelter or you can send a payment with your monthly housing payment and we can purchase it for you or you can purchase it online and have it sent directly to us.
We will work with you best we can as we understand this is a family member. All cats entering in the program must have been seen by a veterinarian no less than 4 weeks before drop off, must have a clean bill of health and must be FELV, FIV and FIP negative and must have a recent negative fecal and obtain a signed health certificate stating the above for our records. Vaccinations required are Rabies and FVRCP or a titer test with statement from your veterinarian stating your cat is still immune. A Certificate of Health stating your cat is free of any diseases, worms and a physical description such ass breed, gender, age and color that sufficiently identifies your cat. The Certificate of Health must be completed by a licensed and accredited veterinarian within 30 days of entering the program. You have the option of your cat being housed in a cage by itself or in the open with the other cats. You must sign a medical release form and provide information for veterinary care should your pet need to be seen by our veterinarian based on an emergency.
We are in Indiana and do allow cats from out of state.
